Public Hearing Notice for Harpersfield
The Solid Waste Policy Committee has recommended that the Board of Commissioners
implement a Rate and Charge on improved parcels to fund Solid Waste programs. For
nearly ten years it has been evident that the District needs additional revenue to
fund programs. A series of 6 public hearings has been scheduled throughout the county
to receive input from the public.
The attached flyer details the dates, times, and locations of the hearings and also
provides some background on why the Policy Committee has recommended this funding
mechanism. Please share this with your local officials and residents.
